Super food Protein powder

I grew up eating this for breakfast everyday as a child. In traditional Sindhi households, this nut mix is usually feed to pregnant/ lactating mothers for high amount of nutrition and proteins. But hey, if it was nutritious my mum would make sure we ate it too 😀 This nut powder is one of the courses of my mum’s 5 course (ever day of the week) breakfast meals. I would wake up to freshly squeezed or extracted amla (Indian gooseberry) or aloevera juice or bittergourd juice, followed by a bowl of fruits, then a few tablespoons of this nut mix, followed by Indian paratha bread with yoghurt and it ends with freshly made halwa (vegetable dessert) etc. Thanks to yoga and mum’s genes, I did not get obese :-p Although, I still re-create most of her dishes my way (healthy healthy!). My twist on this nut powder is adding goji berries as sweetner instead of white rock sugar and coconut chips instead of dry whole coconut (for convenience).

Thankfully this nut powder was super handy and a saviour during travels. It’s loaded with vitamins and proteins and is absolutely delicious sprinkled on a bowl of fruits/ muesli, porridge, smoothie (and actually anything and everything). A spoonful means a bit of your hunger needs are satisfied too 🙂 Super easy to make, all you need is a blender 🙂


1. 1/2 cup walnuts

2. 1/2 cup pistachios

3.  1/4 cup hazelnut

4. 1/4 cup macadamia nuts

5. 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

6. 1/4 cup sesame seeds

7. 1/2 cup goji berries

8. 1/4 cup coconut chips


1. Blend all the ingridents and Enjoy 🙂

Goji Power– Lately my most favorite sweetner! I have grown averse  to raisins, cranberries, craisins and the whole lot. Goji berries and golden berries come to the rescue 🙂 Goji berries are packed with anti oxidants, proteins, iron and a whole bunch of other vitamins.

Tip– I rotate, mix and use whatever nuts are available. I encourage you to experiment with the nut mix that you enjoy. Although, goji berries as a sweetner remains my favorite.

Storage– Make in small batches for freshness and store in fridge. Last upto a month in  fridge.

Get the nuts and seeds together and blend
